Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic Acid injections, such as Restylane or Juvederm, are a safe and non-surgical way to fill out facial lines and creases, and may also be used for facial contouring in areas such as the jawline, cheekbones, and depressions at the junction of the lower eyelids and cheek. These dermal fillers tend to last at least six months, and in some cases up to a year or more. This class of dermal fillers is particularly advantageous in that Hyaluronic Acid is a material normally found in the body, it does not elicit an allergic or inflammatory reaction, and any irregularity that may uncommonly result and does not resolve on its own can be easily treated and dissolved with an injection (Wydase). Other “longer-lasting” dermal fillers do not have these safety features, and so Dr. Grenley has chosen not to utilize them in his practice.
